Hi! Im Maya, founder of Locally Inspired Vegetarian Eats. Born and raised in the Comox Valley I appreciate what an incredible place we live in. I love to mountain bike, hike, rock climb, swim and snowboard! Trying to do all the things I love while working, made me ask, how do I ~and others~ fuel ourselves in a way that’s healthy, convenient, and delicious.

I obtained my RedSeal Chef certification in 2019 and recently found a passion for plant forward cooking. I recognized the need for healthy, tasty food delivered on a regular basis so it is easily available.

After learning the environmental and health benefits eating plant based has I wanted a way to make this food more accessible to our community. Eating plant forward drastically reduces our carbon footprint.
